Katherine Sian Moennig (December 29, 1977) is an American actor famous for her role on The L Word( 2004-09) as Shane McCutcheon and similarly on Young Americans(2000) as Jake Pratt’s character. Similarly, in 2019, she played the role of Shane McCutcheon in The L Word and this series is all about the lives and loves of a group of lesbians and bisexuals in Los Angeles. In the Showtime series called Ray Donovan (2013-2019), she played the character of Lena. She is a lesbian and is married to a Brazilian film director and musician Ana Rezende.

Famous American actor Katherine Sian Moennig was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the U.S. Her mother Mary Zahn is a Broadway dancer and her father William H. Moenning III is a violin maker. At the age of 18, she moved to New York City to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Career
At the age of 18, Katherine Sian Moennig moved to New York to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Besides, she also began a modeling career and stage performer.
In 1999, she played in central role in the Our Lady Peace video “Is Anybody Home?”.
Moennig got her first major role in the television series Young Americans as Jake Pratt. She has played many lesbian roles including Shane McCutcheon in The L Word, lesbian lover of Sophia Myles in Art School Confidential.
