Breeda Wool (born April 30, 1982) is an actor, writer, and producer from the United States. She is most recognized for her appearances as Lou Linklater in Mr. Mercedes (2017–present) on Audience and Faith Deluth in the Lifetime/Hulu drama series UnREAL (2015–2018).
Early Life
Wool grew up in the city of Urbana, Illinois. Wool knew she wanted to be a performer since she was a child. Her talent got her a musical theater scholarship to Wagner College after she starred in multiple theatrical plays throughout her elementary and high school years. She moved from theater to short films while she was there, starring in the Columbia University graduate short Dandelion.
After college, she moved to New York City to pursue her passion for acting, where she spent ten years performing in theaters, reading Shakespeare, sketch comedy, and avant-garde movement dance before coming to Los Angeles. She has continued to hone her craft by attending a weekly workshop at the Imagined Life Theater since the transfer. Wool’s late father was a “wild, Irish guitar-playing physicist”, and her mother, whom she adores, is a “California, artist beach-babe” who met her late father while studying in Ireland. They were both professors at universities.
Wool earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, theater, and philosophy from Wagner College in 2004. From 2010 to 2013, Wool studied acting at the Imagined Life Theater.

Carrer
Wool joined the Upright Citizens Brigade, an improv sketch comedy ensemble, in 2010. Wool featured in the critically acclaimed short film AWOL in 2010, which was nominated for Sundance Women in Film Panel and Gotham Independent Film Awards before being converted into a feature-length film in 2016.

Wool worked on the feature film Mother’s Little Helpers as an executive producer and co-writer. She was also a producer on Rflktr (2018) and Miss Miao (2014), as well as a writer for Shelton’s Oasis, a short film (2013). Wool starred as Victoria in Amazon’s online series Betas in 2013. Wool played Faith, a closeted Christian lesbian, in the first season of UnREAL in 2015. She resumed her role as Faith in The Faith Diaries, a 2017 web series spin-off, and returned to UnREAL in the fourth season. Breeda Wool is an actress and producer who has appeared in films such as Mr. Mercedes (2017), and Mass. (2021).
Personal Life
Wool engages in Bikram Yoga, volleyball, drawing, and piano lessons. She is a vegetarian’s best friend. Wool and her partner Matt Friedman live in Los Angeles, California. Friedman, a musician and music producer, is a vocal feminist. She gave birth to a daughter recently.
